road supervisors in the several counties at least sixty
days prior to the election of such road supervisors;
and whereas, the county commissioners of Caroline
county failed to perform that duty prior to the elec-
tion of such road supervisors, but have since said
election, fixed such compensation; Now, therefore,

|
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the acts of the county commissioners of Caroline
county, fixing and establishing the compensation of the
road supervisors in said county, be, and the same are
hereby confirmed and made valid, notwithstanding
such compensation was not determined prior to the
election of the said road supervisors, as required by the
sixth section of the act of eighteen hundred and fifty-
three, chapter three hundred, entitled an act to provide
for the election of toad supervisors in the several coun-
ties of this State.

AN ACT to allow a pension to Mary Green, widow of
the late Robert Cross, a musician in the war of the
revolution, and appropriating a sum of money for the
payment thereof.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Mary Green, widow of Robert
Cross, a fifer in the American revolution, be, and she
is hereby allowed a pension equal to the half pay of a
fifer, in consideration of the services of her husband in
the said war.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the sum of three
hundred dollars, being equal to the half pay of a fifer
