CHAPTER 30.

Mar. 1, 1854.

AN ACT to refund to Caspar Mantz, late sheriff of
Frederick county, the amount of tax upon his second
commission.

Authority to

pay.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the treasurer of this State be and he
is hereby directed to pay, upon the warrant of the
comptroller, the sum of one hundred dollars to Caspar
Mantz, late sheriff of Frederick county, being the
amount of tax paid by him for the second commission
issued to him as sheriff of Frederick county.

In force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from and after its passage.


CHAPTER 31.

AN ACT to authorise the Trustees of the Bethel Pres-
byterian church in Harford county, to acquire and
hold real estate therein mentioned.

Consent giv-
en.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the consent of the Legislature is
hereby given that the trustees of the Bethel Presbyterian
church in Harford county, may purchase and hold a
lot or parcel of land in said county, not exceeding forty-
two acres, for a parsonage and burial ground.

In force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from its passage.
