CHAPTER 28.

AN ACT to fix the per diem of Jurors serving in the
Courts of the City of Baltimore.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That jurors serving in the courts of the
city of Baltimore, shall be entitled to a per diem of one
dollar; except, that the foreman of a grand jury, in
attendance in the criminal court of Baltimore, shall be
entitled to a per diem of two dollars.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from its passage.
CHAPTER 29.

AN ACT to compensate William Cooke and George D.
Tewksbury, for contracting for and superintending the '
repairs of a tobacco warehouse.
|

|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the treasurer be and he is hereby
authorised and required to pay, upon the warrant of the
comptroller, the sum of three hundred and one dollars
and seventy-three cents to William Cooke and George
D. Tewksbury, as a compensation to them for contract-
ing for and superintending the repairs of tobacco ware-
house number two, in the city of Baltimore, which sum
shall be a charge on the tobacco fund.
