authorise his changing his name to Guillaume The-
lin.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That William Tufts, of the city of Baltimore, may and
shall henceforth have and use and be known and des-
cribed by the name of Guillaume Thelin, in place to
every effect, of the name of William Tufts, in all acts
and proceedings and matters whatsoever.

AN ACT for repairing the Government House, enclo-
sure and out buildings and for the purchase of furni-
ture.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the sum of two thousand dollars
is hereby appropriated for repairing the Government
House, enclosure and out buildings attached thereto,
and the further sum of two thousand dollars, or so
much thereof as may be necessary, be, and the same
is also hereby appropriated for the purchase of furni-
ture.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Governor is
hereby authorised to have the Government House,
enclosure and out buildings attached thereto repaired
in such manner, and of such material as will in his
opinion be most desirable and economical, and also to
purchase such furniture as he may deem necessary for
comfort and convenience, and to draw on the Treasurer
upon the warrant of the Comptroller for such sum or
sums as may be required therefor; Provided, the
amount shall not exceed in the aggregate the sum of
four thousand dollars.
