Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, it has been represented to the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the deed of conveyance
from David Potter and Margaret Potter to Henry
Koontz, bearing date the twelfth day of April, in the
year eighteen hundred and forty-two, and recorded
among the land records of Allegany county, in Liber
A. B., No. C. C., folio 265, 266 and 267, for certain
lands in said county, is defective, because the justices
of the peace, who took the acknowledgment of said
deed, did not certify to the identity of the grantors
therein named; Therefore,

Deed made
valid.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the aforesaid deed of conveyance
from the said David Potter and Margaret Potter to the
said Henry Koontz, be, and the same is hereby declar-
ed to be as valid and effectual in law and equity as if
the acknowledgment thereof had been made in full
