CHAPTER 212.
|

AN ACT to amend an act entitled, an act authorising
the levy court, of Frederick county, in their discre-
tion, to levy a sum of money to build a bridge over
Bennett's Creek.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That so much of the first section of the
act of eighteen hundred and forty-seven, chapter two
hundred and five, as limits the amount to be levied by
the levy court of Frederick county, for the purpose of
building a bridge over Bennett's Creek, at, or near the
Burnt House Ford, to six hundred dollars, be, and the
same is hereby amended, so as to allow the county
commissioners of said county, in their discretion, to
levy on the assessable property of said county an addi-
tional sum of four hundred dollars, in two equal annual
instalments, for the purpose of building said bridge.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.

AN ACT to increase the pension now allowed to Wil-
liam Spencer, one of the out pensioners of Baltimore
county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the county commissioners of Balti-
more county, be, and they are hereby authorised and
required to levy annually the sum often dollars for the
use of William Spencer, in addition to the pension al-
lowed said Spencer by the act passed at December ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and forty-seven, chapter forty-
four, so that the whole sum to be levied each year for
the use of said William Spencer shall be thirty dol-
lars.
