CHAPTER 215.

AN ACT to provide for the payment to John A. Carter,
late Clerk of Montgomery County Court, for fees
due him from the State.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer upon the warrant of
the Comptroller, be and he is hereby authorised to pay
John A. Carter, late clerk of Montgomery county court
the sum of twelve dollars and sixty-five cents for ser-
vices rendered the State.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of the passage thereof.

|
A supplement to an act passed at January session eigh-
teen hundred and fifty-three, chapter three hundred
and sixty, entitled, an act to provide for the redemp-
tion and purchase of the funded debts of this State, or
parts thereof, and the increase of the sinking fund
out of the surplus monies that may at any time be in
the Treasury of Maryland.

WHEREAS, doubts are entertained in reference to the
proper construction of the second section of the act
of eighteen hundred and fifty-three chapter three
hundred and sixty, which should be removed,
|
Preamble.
|
|
|
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland
That the provisions of the said section of the said act
shall be deemed and construed to refer to the amount
of the funded debts of this State, which may be pur-
chased in the course of the present year, or of any year
hereafter.
