AN ACT for the relief of Maria Williamson, and the
heirs at law of David Williamson, deceased.
|
|
|
|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, David Williamson late of Baltimore county
deceased, did by his last will and testament bearing
date on the eighth day of February, eighteen hundred
and thirty-nine, and which is duly recorded amongst
the records of the office of the register of wills for
Baltimore county in Liber D. M. P. number
seventeen, folio two hundred and nineteen, devise
his real estate situate in Baltimore county, to his
wife Maria Williamson, with power to her to dispose of
the same only by last will and testament; And
whereas, it has been represented to this General As-
sembly by said Maria Williamson, and her children
the heirs at law, and legal representatives of said
David Williamson, that it would be to the interest of all
the parties concerned that said real estate or some
portion of it should be disposed of by sale in the life-
time of said Maria Williamson, which cannot be done
without the authority of the Legislature; Therefore,

Authority to
sell.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the. General Assembly
of Maryland, That Maria Williamson, be and she is
hereby authorised and empowered with the consent of
the children and legal representatives of said David
Williamson, which shall be signified by their writing,
in any conveyance which may be made of said land or
any portion thereof, to convey by deed of bargain and
sale the real estate mentioned and described in said last
will and testament in as full and ample a manner as if
the power had been given in said last will and testa-
ment.

Deed valid.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That any deed of said
land or any portion thereof executed as is provided for
in the preceding section, shall vest in the purchase! or
purchasers thereof, a good and valid deed in law.

In force.
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, Thai this act shall take
effect from and after its passage.
