SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Governor is
further authorised to make such disposition of the
screws and other apparatus in the warehouses on Cam-
den street, and so to allot and distribute the inspectors
as will best promote the trade, economise expenses and
further the purposes of the establishment and regula-
tion of the tobacco system in the city of Baltimore.

AN ACT for the relief of William Knight.
WHEREAS, William Knight, a citizen of Cecil county
in this State, by his petition, sets forth that he is
grievously injured by the assessment of damages
made by certain commissioners appointed by Kent
county circuit court, and that in consequence of his
want of information, he was not heard before the
said court; Therefore for remedy thereof;

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That it may and shall be lawful for the
judge of the circuit court for Kent county, to open the
judgment heretofore rendered in that court on the peti-
tion of sundry citizens for the opening of a road from
Washington College near Chestertown to Millington,
and to hear and determine the question of damages at
the April term, eighteen hundred and fifty-four, of
said court, and decide upon the claim of the above
named petitioner, as fully in all respects as he could or
might have done at the last term of said court, and the
judgment to be given thereupon shall in all respects
have the same legal force and effect as if rendered at
said term.

the court heretofore rendered, shall stand and remain
as conclusive, except as to the question of damages or
