AN ACT to pay Robert T. Shipley, collector of the
State tax for Carroll county, for the year eighteen
hundred and forty-three and eighteen hundred and
forty-seven, a sum of money overpaid into the trea-
sury, and for insolvencies allowed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the treasurer is hereby authorised
and directed to pay, upon the warrant of the comptrol-
ler, to Robert T. Shipley, collector of State taxes for
Carroll county, for the year eighteen hundred and forty-
three and eighteen hundred and forty-seven, the sum
of three hundred and thirteen dollars, being the amount
overpaid by him into the treasury, for which the said
Shipley obtained no allowance in the trial of the suit
insulated against him in the circuit court for Carroll
county by the State.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to authorise the Governor to accept from the
building commissioners the new tobacco warehouse
when it is finished, and to make other dispositions
relative to tobacco warehouses.
|

|

|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Governor be, and he is hereby
authorised to accept from the commissioners employed
in building it the new tobacco warehouse in the city of
Baltimore, when it is completely finished, if finished
according to contract.
