authorised after the notice aforesaid, to contract with
any person or persons to build said bridge and to take
bond or bonds with sufficient security from any person
or persons contracting as aforesaid for the faithful per-
formancy of their contract.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty
of the county commissioners of each county aforesaid
to accept the proposal of the lowest bidder or bidders ;
Provided, he or they shall give sufficient security for
the faithful performance of his or their contract for the
same.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That when said bridge
shall have been completed, it shall be a free bridge for
all persons to pass and repass.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the expense of
building said bridge shall be equally divided between
the two counties.

AN ACT for the relief of William H. Worthington,
George L. Stockett, Seth W. Warfield and John War-
field, of Josh, sureties on the bond of Rinaldo W.
Dorsey, deceased, collector of State taxes of first col-
lection district of Howard district, for the year eigh-
teen hundred and forty-nine, and to release them
from the payment of the interest on the balance due
thereon, from the first of January, eighteen hundred
fifty.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That William H. Worthington, George L.
Stockett, Seth W. Warfield and John Warfield, of
Josh, of Howard county, the sureties on the bond of

for first collection district of Howard district, for the
year eighteen hundred and forty-nine, be, and they are
hereby released from all claim of the State of Mary-
