Steamboat company, passed at January session eigh-
teen hundred and fifty two, chapter one hundred and
ninety, as is in the words following to wit: each stock-
holder shall be entitled to one vote for each share of
stock he shall hold up to five shares to four votes for
the next five, to three votes for the third five, to two
votes for the fourth five, and to one for the next five
shares, and for any larger amount of stock than this,
he shall not be entitled to an additional vole, be and
the same is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That each and every
stockholder in the Eastern Shore Steamboat company,
shall be entitled to one vote for each and every share
of stock he shall hold.

effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money for the sup-
port of the Bladensburg Academy in Prince George's
county.
|
|
|
|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assembly,
that the Academy in the village of Bladensburg,
in Prince George's county, might become a much
more useful institution for the dissemination of
knowledge, and would afford much greater advan-
tages in educating the youth of said county, if a small
sum of money is appropriated each year towards the
support; Therefore,

pay.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Orphans' court of Prince
George's county, be, and the same is hereby required
to pay to the trustees of the Bladensburg Academy the
sum of three hundred dollars per year, out of the inter-
est which has or may accrue upon the free school fund
of said county, the said sum to be paid half yearly upon
the draft of the General Board of Trustees for primary
