CHAPTER 176.

AN ACT to divide the School District, number forty-
four, in Worcester county.

Mar. 10, 1854.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Peter Whaley, William Gault,
Thomas S. Baker, John Hamblin and John P. R.
Gillis, or a majority of them, are hereby authorised to
divide primary school district, number forty-four in
Worcester county.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That when said school
district shall be divided, the primary board of education
of said county, are hereby directed and authorised to
divide the school fund which now is or may be appro-
priated to the above named school district in proportion
to the number of children of each of their districts here-
by divided.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 177.

In force.

AN ACT to alter and amend an act entitled an act to
incorporate the Eastern Shore Steamboat Company,
passed at January session eighteen hundred and fifty-
two, chapter one hundred and ninety.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That so much of the sixth section of the
act entitled an act to incorporate the Eastern Shore
