year thereafter, at James Parks' store, or at such other
place as the Trustees hereafter to be elected may appoint,
and elect five Trustees for said School District.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the School District
hereby created shall be entitled to, and receive an equi-
table distribution, with other School Districts in Somerset
county, of any monies appropriated to, and in said
county, for the purposes of education.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 9.

In force.

AN ACT to authorise the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore to pass Ordinances relating to Steps, Porti-
cos, Porches and Bulk Windows, in the city of Balti-
more.

Feb. 10, 1854.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and City Council of Balti-

more be, and they are hereby authorised and empow-
ered to pass ordinances regulating the limits within
which it shall hereafter be lawful to erect steps, porticos,
porches, bulk windows, or other architectural ornaments
to houses fronting on any of the streets, lanes or alleys
in said city, any act of Assembly heretofore in force to
the contrary notwithstanding.

ces.

AN ACT to make valid the official acts of Caspar
Mantz, late Sheriff of Frederick county.

Feb. 10, 1854.

WHEREAS, Caspar Mantz, late Sheriff of Frederick
county, casually omitted to execute an official bond
for the second year of his Sheriffalty as required by
law, and doubts are entertained of the validity of his
official acts during said time; Therefore,
