CHAPTER 146.

AN ACT to provide for .the payment of indexing the
journals of the two Houses of the General Assembly
from seventeen hundred and seventy-seven to eigh-
teen hundred and twenty-eight inclusive.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the treasurer, on the warrant of the
comptroller, shall be, and he is hereby authorised to
pay for indexing the journals of the two houses of the
General Assembly, from seventeen hundred and seventy-
seven to eighteen hundred and twenty-eight inclusive,
the sum of four thousand dollars, in addition to the
sums heretofore paid for said object, which said sum
shall be apportioned by the Governor among the par-
ties entitled thereto, on the receipt of the work by him,
fully completed, upon examination and approval by
him, of such portions of said work performed by each
of said parties respectively as may have completed the
same; that is to say, for indexing the journals from
seventeen hundred and seventy-seven to eighteen hun-
dred and eight inclusive of the House of Dele-
gales, the sum of fourteen hundred dollars, for index-
ing the journals of the House of Delegates from eighteen
hundred and nine to eighteen hundred and twenty-
eight inclusive, the sum of fourteen hundred dollars;
for indexing the journals of the Senate from seventeen
hundred and seventy-seven to eighteen hundred and
twenty-eight inclusive, the sum of twelve hundred dol-
lars, which said sums shall be in full of all claim and
demand against the State by the parties who have
performed said work, or any part or portion thereof,
and that all further proceedings under resolution num-
ber fifty, passed at December session, eighteen hundred
and forty-nine, by any and all persons whatsoever be,
and the same are hereby forever suspended.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall go
effect from and after its passage.
