CHAPTER 123.

Mar. 9, 1854.

AN ACT to confirm and make valid a certain deed
from Samuel Soyster and others to Francis M. Gram-
lick, of Allegany county.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, it appears to this General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, that on the twenty-fifth day of October, in
the year eighteen hundred and fifty-two, Samuel
Soyster and Julia his wife, George Deneen and Leah
his wife, Albert Holle and Wilhelmina his wife,
James McCurdy and Ann his wife, Henry Soyster,
Michael Soyster and Elizabeth Soyster, did by their
deed of that date, bargain and sell unto Francis M.
Gramlick a certain tract of land particularly described
in said deed; and whereas the said deed was ac-
knowledged before two justices of the pence in the
State of Ohio, by the said James McCurdy and Ann
his wife, two of the grantors therein named, instead
of before a judge of a court of record and of law, as
required by the laws of this State; Now therefore,

Made valid.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the aforesaid deed of conveyance
mentioned and recited in the preamble of this act shall
be, and the same is hereby declared to be as valid and
effectual in law and equity as if the same hud been ac-
knowledged in proper form by the said James McGurdy
and Ann his wife, before a judge of a court of law and
of record in the State of Ohio, and certified in due.
form by the clerk of said court, as required by the laws
of this State.

Rights.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act
contained shall affect the rights of bona fide purchasers
prior to the passage of this act, nor shall it in any man-
ner affect any suit or suits now pending in any of the
courts of law or equity in this Stale.
