CHAPTER 100.

AN ACT to change the corporate name of The Monu-
mental Place Real Estate Company to that of The
Overton Real Estate Company, and to reduce the
number and amount of shares requisite for the organ-
ization of the company.

Mar. 8, 1854.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the corporate name of The Monu-
mental Place Real Estate Company shall be, and is
hereby changed to that of The Overton Real Estate
Company, by which latter name or title said corpora-
tion shall hereafter be authorised to have and exercise
all the corporate powers granted by its original act of
incorporation of January session, eighteen hundred and
fifty-three, chapter three hundred and ninety-eight, or
by this supplement thereto.

ed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the shares of said
corporation shall be and are hereby reduced from fifty
dollars to five dollars each, and that as soon as one
thousand shares of said slock shall have been subscribed,
and one dollar per share paid to the commissioners at
the time of subscribing, the said company shall be or-
ganised by the election of its officers, as provided in the
original act to which this is supplementary.

Shares re-
duced.

SEC 3. And be it enacted, That the General As-
sembly of Maryland shall have power to repeal, alter
or change this act at its pleasure.

Reservation.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 101.

AN ACT to limit the services of petit jurors in the
city of Baltimore.

Mar. 8, 1854.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That no person shall be summoned to serve
as a petit juror in the city of Baltimore oftener than
once in two years, nor shall a person serve in any
of the courts of that city as a petit juror oftener than
