AN ACT to Change the Time of Holding Elec-
tions for Certain officers for the Alms-House in
Talbot county, and to Repeal so much of the Act
passed seventeen hundred and eighty-five, chapter
fifteen, section ten, as fixes the time of holding said
Elections between the first and tenth day of No-
vember yearly.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Trustees for the Poor of Talbot
county, or a majority of them, shall, and they are
hereby authorised and required to meet together between
the first and tenth day of August, of each and every
year, at the Alms-house in said county, to appoint a fit
person to be overseer of the Alms-house in said county,
and other proper officers of said Institution, as, by
them, may seem necessary for carrying on the business
of said Institution.

AN ACT to lay out and establish a new Election
District in Dorchester county, out of parts of the
fourth and seventh election districts in said county,
to be called Church Creek District, or District
Number Nine.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That a new election district be formed
and established, and the same is hereby established, in
Dorchester county, out of parts of the fourth and
seventh election districts in said county, to be called
and known as Church Creek District, or Election Dis-
trict Number Nine.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the boundaries of
the said new election district shall be as follows, to wit :
Commencing at the bridge on the county road leading
from Church creek to Cambridge, at the junction of the
road leading to Little Black Water road, commonly call-
ed and known as Hurley's New road, and running with
Hurley's new road to the point of intersection with the
