said certificates, and shall also give to bun, in the name
of the State of Maryland, satisfactory security to in-
demnify the State against any other claims of demands
on account of the said certificates alleged to be lost as
aforesaid, which security shall be placed by the com-
missioner of loans with the treasurer, by him to be kept
and preserved.

AN ACT to alter and change the name of Richard
Tillard, to Richard Tillard Estep.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the name of Richard Tillard, a
native of the State of Maryland, and now a resident,
therein, be and the same is hereby altered and changed
to Richard Tillard Estep, and it shall be, lawful for the
said Richard Tillard, at all times hereafter to be called
and known by, and hold and use the name of Richard
Tillard Estep, and by the name of Richard Tillard
Estep, to purchase, sell, convey or devise, to sue and
be sued, in any court of law and equity.

AN ACT to establish the location of Water Street in
the City of Cumberland, and to grade the same.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Thomas Shriver, Daniel Blocher
and Horace Resley, or any two of them, be and they
are hereby appointed commissioners to establish the loca-
tion of Water street, from the western abutment of the
bridge across Wills creek, on Washington street to Green
street in the city of Cumberland, with full power and
authority to change the position or site of the same, by
