1852.

ty-seven dollars and eighty cents, being the amount of
a list of insolvencies, for which the said Edward Dor-
sey, of R., never received a credit in his settlement
with the Treasurer of the State, and a sum of money
equal to the said sum of forty-seven dollars and eighty
cents is hereby appropriated for the purpose aforesaid,
out of any unappropriated money in the treasury.

CHAP. 104.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 103.

In force.

AN ACT increasing the per diem of the Bailiff of
the Orphans1 Court for Baltimore city.

Passed March
16, 1852.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That from and after the passage of this act, the
bailiff of the Orphans' Court of Baltimore city, shall
receive two dollars per diem, for his services, for every
day that he shall serve, instead of the sum of one dol-
lar now received by said Bailiff.

CHAPTER 104.

Per diem in-
creased.

AN ACT relating to the fees of Clerics and Regis-
ters of Wills, of the several counties of this State
and the city of Baltimore, whose terms have recent-
ly expired by Constitutional limitation.

16, 1852.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That all fees due to the late clerks of
the several County Courts, and the registers of wills
in the several counties of this State, and the city of
Baltimore, whose terms of service have expired by con-
stitutional limitation, shall be received and collected by
the sheriffs of the several counties of this State and of
the city of Baltimore, in the same manner as fees due
and owing such officers have been heretofore collected ;
and such sheriffs shall use and have the same means of
enforcing payment of, and collecting said fees, and he
liable to said clerks and registers, in the manner now
