at least two months previous to holding the election in
November eighteen hundred and fifty-two.

CHAP. 101.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That if any of the com-
missioners named in this act should die, remove out of
the county, or refuse to accept his appointment before
the first Monday of May next, the remaining commis-
sioners are hereby authorised and directed to fill such
vacancy or vacancies.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That each commissioner
shall be entitled, to receive at the rate of two dollars
per day, for every day he shall act in the discharge

of the duties imposed on him by the provisions of this
net, to be assessed and levied by the County Commis-
sioners of Frederick county, as other county charges
are, which said sum when levied and collected, shall
be paid over in like manner as other county charges.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the inhabitants of
said district shall be in all respects entitled to all the
rights, liberties and privileges held or to be held and
enjoyed by the other election districts in the said
county.

effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 101.

AN ACT to lay off and locate a new Election Dis-
trict in Carroll county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That. William Sheppard, William Shaw,
and John Clabaugh, be, and they are hereby appointed
commissioners to locale a new election district, to be
composed of parts of election districts numbers one
and two, of Carroll county, and to ascertain and fix the
lines and bounds of said district; and the said commis-
sioners shall, under their hands and seals, certify their
proceedings, in pursuance of this act, to the clerk of
Carroll County Court.
