CHAP. 100.

the third section of said act are now divided into one
hundred shares of the nominal value of one thousand

dollars each, shall be and are hereby divided into
shares of one hundred dollars each, and the said com-
pany are hereby authorised to issue certificates of stock

of the nominal value of one hundred dollars per share,
to the full amount of their capital slock.

SEC. 2. Be it further enacted That this act shall
be in force from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 100.

AN ACT to establish a new Election District in Freder-
ick County, out of parts of the eighth, ninth and
eleventh Election Districts in said County.

Commission-
ers appointed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That James S. Riddlemoser, George
Murdoch and John Myers, or a majority of them, be
and they are hereby appointed commissioners to lay off
and establish a new election district out of parts of the
eighth, ninth and eleventh election districts of Freder-
ick county, and to make choice of a place in the said
election district at which the election shall be held.

Boundaries
and number.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the commission-
ers or a majority of them in defining the boundaries of
said district, shall commence at the mouth of the Lin-

ganore Creek, thence up said creek, to the head of
William Jones' mill dam, thence with a straight line
as near as may be to Jacob Harmiss' dwelling house
on the road leading from Liberty town, to Bigg's Ford,
on the Manocacy River, thence down said river to the
place of beginning, and the said commissioners, or a
majority of them, shall on or before the first Monday in
August, eighteen hundred and fifty-two, deliver to the
clerk of Frederick county court, a description in writ-
ing under their hands and seals, specifying plainly the
boundaries and number of the said election district,
so laid off, and the place where the election for said
district shall be held, which place shall be the town of
Mount Pleasant in said county, and the said clerk
shall record the same among the records of said coun-
ty and transmit a copy thereof to the Governor.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the Sheriff of
