CHAP. 95.

mined out and carried to market by said company, as
aforesaid, which report shall be verified by the oath of
the President of said company, and when so made,
shall be, by the Governor, laid before the General As-
sembly of Maryland, when in session.

Not to inter-
fere with lien
law.

SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That nothing in this
act shall be construed to interfere with any lien law
now in force, or which may hereafter be enacted.

CHAPTER 94.

AN ACT to Discharge and Release Nathaniel Duke
from the Payment of a certain Tax therein men-
tioned.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, Nathaniel Duke, by reason of the re-
signation of A. R. Sellers, Clerk of Calvert County
Court, before the return of the election in Calvert
county was made, was appointed by the Governor Clerk

of said court, in order to make the return of said elec-
tions, and as such clerk, paid the tax due on his com-
mission as clerk aforesaid; and whereas, the said
Nathaniel Duke is liable to pay a further tax on his
commission, as Cleric of the Circuit Court of Calvert
county, which it is not just and right that he should
be required to pay. Now, therefore,

Released from
payment.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Nathaniel Duke be, and he is hereby discharged
and released from the payment of the tax of fifty dol-
lars on his commission, as Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Calvert county.

AN ACT to Regulate the time of holding the Cir-
cuit Courts in the Second Judicial Circuit.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
