Sum appro-
priated.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the sum of one thousand dollars
be, and the same is hereby appropriated out of any
monies in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to
pay the reward offered by the Governor for the appre-
hension and conviction of the murderers of William
Cosden, Mary Ann Cosden, Amanda Cosden and
Catharine Webster, and that the Treasurer, upon the
warrant of the Comptroller, pay the sum hereby appro-
priated, to the Governor of Maryland, for the purpose
aforesaid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from its passage.

AN ACT to regulate the meetings of the Orphan's
Court of Howard County, and the compensa-
tion of the Judges thereof.
|
|
|
Time of meet-
ing.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Judges of the Orphan's Court
of Howard county, shall meet for the transaction of
public business on the first and third Tuesdays in each
and every month, and at such meetings shall not re-
main in session for more than one day, nor adjourn
from day to day, except in case hereinafter provided
for.

tion of circuit
court, to hold
term for four
days.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That during each re-
gular semi-annual session of the Circuit Court for
Howard county, the Orphan's Court of said county,
shall hold a term of four days, during which the said
Orphan's Court shall adjourn from day to day, pro-
vided the jury summoned to the said Circuit Court, shall
remain so long in attendance on said court.

Compensa-
tion.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the compensation
of each Judge of the Orphan's Court of Howard coun-
ty, shall be two dollars for each and every day of his at-
tendance, and if he shall reside more than one mile
from the Court House in said county, such Judge shall
receive, in addition to his per diem, mileage at the rate
of five cents for each mile of necessary travel going
and returning, for each day of his attendance.
