E. LOUIS LOWE, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

1852.

said Susan Barrott, or to her order, annually, in quar-
terly payments, during her life.

CHAPTER 349.

CHAP. 349.

AN ACT for the relief of John H. Mitchell, of
Harford county.

WHEREAS, It appears by the petition of Julia Ann
Harwood, of Harford county, that Sarah Dever, a Re-
volutionary pensioner of the State of Maryland, died
on the 24th of November, eighteen hundred and fifty,
and that there was due her, the said Sarah, at the time

of her death, from the State, the sum of fifteen dollars
and eighty-five cents; And whereas, it appears that
during the last illness of the said Sarah Dever, she was
obliged, in consequence of her indigent circumstances,
to anticipate her pension, by drawing on her friend,
John H. Mitchell, for such articles as were indispensa-
ble to her in her last sickness; And whereas, it appears
that the said Julia Ann Harwood, is the only surviving
child and heir of the said Sarah Dever, and she asks,
as an act of justice, that a law may be passed making
the amount due her mother, at the time of her death,
payable to John H. Mitchell; Therefore,

Passed May
31, 1852.
