CHAP. 348.
In force.

so much of the principal of said bonds or certificates of
debt as is directed to be paid by the said act.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT appropriating a sum of money therein
named, to pay John B. Brooke, late Clerk of Prince
George's County Court, for Fees in certain State
Cases.

Authority to
pay.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That the Treasurer, upon the warrant

of the Comptroller, is authorised and directed to pay to
John B. Brooke, former clerk of Prince George's coun-
ty court, the sum of sixty-two dollars and seventy-three
cents, being the amount of his account for fees, which
accrued in certain State cases.

In force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 348.

AN ACT allowing a Pension to Susan Barrott,
widow of Solomon Barrott, a Fifer in the War of
the American Revolution, and appropriating a sum

of money for the payment thereof.

Pension al-
lowed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That Susan Barrott, of Talbot county,
widow of Solomon Barrott, a fifer in the Revolution,
fee, and she is hereby allowed a pension for, and during
her natural life, of forty dollars, equal to the half pay

of a fifer, in consideration of the services of her said
husband in said war.

Authority to
pay.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That a sum equal to
the half pay of a fifer, is hereby appropriated, and the
Treasurer, upon the warrant of the Comptroller, is
hereby directed to pay the said sum of money to the
