rised agent or agents, but the members of said corpora-
tion shall not be held liable and answerable in their in-
dividual capacity or private estate for contracts or lia-
bilities of said association.

CHAP. 346.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the General As-
sembly reserves to itself the right to modify, amend or
repeal this act at any time.

Reservation.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this act shall be
subject to any general law that may be passed upon
this subject, in compliance with the forty-seventh sec-
tion of the third article of the Constitution.

CHAPTER 346.

Subject to any
general law.

AN ACT to provide for the payment of the Interest
on the Bonds or Certificates of Debt of the Anna-
polis and Elk-Ridge Rail Road Company, issued
in pursuance of chapter one hundred and sixty-eight,

of December session, eighteen hundred and forty-
one, falling due on the first day of July, eighteen
hundred and fifty-two, and on the first day of
January, eighteen hundred and fifty-three, and so
much of the principal thereof, as is directed to be
paid by the said act.

31, 1852.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the sum of five thousand dollars,
or so much thereof as may be equal to the net profits of
the Annapolis and Elk Ridge rail road company, and
the profits which this State shall or may have derived
from the use of the Annapolis and Elk-Ridge rail road
in connection with the Washington branch of the Bal-
timore and Ohio rail road, and which said profits shall or
may have been paid into the Treasury, be, and the same
is hereby appropriated to be paid by the Treasurer, up-
on the warrant of the Comptroller, on account of the
interest falling due on the first days of July and Janu-
ary next, on the bonds or certificates of debt of the
Annapolis and Elk-Ridge rail road company, issued in
pursuance of the act entitled, an act concerning the
Annapolis and Elk-Ridge rail road company, passed at
December session, eighteen hundred and forty-one,
chapter one hundred and sixty-eight, and on account of
