that purpose the sum of three thousand dollars, be,
and the same is hereby appropriated out of any money
in the treasury, not otherwise appropriated.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the sum of fifteen
hundred dollars, or so much thereof, as may be neces-
sary, is hereby appropriated to pay the expenses in-

curred, and to be made by the commissioners sent to
Pennsylvania, in the matter of Archibald G. Ridgely,
and the Comptroller is hereby directed to issue his war-
rant for the same, payable out of the money received,
on the recognizance of William L. Chaplin, and the
commissioners shall render an account, with the vouch-
ers of their expenditures to the Treasurer, who shall
submit the same to a joint committee of the Legisla-
ture, at its next session.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the Comptroller of

the Treasury, be, and he is hereby authorized and re-
quired to credit upon the books of his office, the journ-
al of accounts of the present session, with such sum
or sums of money, or so much thereof as he may deem
necessary, as shall appear to have been paid for the
printing expenses of the General Assembly, and to
charge the same to the appropriation already made for
that purpose.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of the passage thereof.

CHAPTER 331.

In force.

AN ACT to Augment the Capital Stock, prolong
the time for receiving subscriptions thereto, and to
authorise the extension of the law incorporating the
Liberty and Franklin Plank or Turnpike Road
Company, passed at December session, eighteen
hundred and forty-nine, chapter one hundred and
ninety six.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That the capital Block of the Liberty
and Franklin Plank or Turnpike Road company, au-
thorised by its charter, be, and the same is hereby aug-
mented to thirty thousand dollars, in shares of twenty
dollars each.
