point such officers and agents, and establish such by-
laws and regulations, as they may think proper and ex-
pedient for the government of the corporation, and the
management of its business, so that such by-laws and
regulations shall not conflict with, or in any manner
violate the constitution or laws of this State, or of the
United States.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That said corpora-
tion may have and use a common seal, may purchase,
hold and convey such personal and real estate, as may
be required for the purpose of its creation, and may do
all oilier nets necessary and proper to enable it to carry
out legitimately the object of its incorporation, as ex-
pressed in the first section of this act.

capable to sue
and be sued.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That said corporation,
by its said name, shall have succession, and be able
and capable to sue and be sued, to plead and be im-
pleaded, in any court of law or equity.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect immediately upon its passage.
|

Reservation.
|
SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That the Legislature
hereby reserves to itself the right and power to alter,
amend and repeal this act at pleasure.

AN ACT making an additional Appropriation for
the payment of the Compensation allowed to the
members of the Senate, and House of Delegates,
their officers and attendants, and for the Contingent
Expenses of the General Assembly, and for Ex-
penses incurred and to be incurred by the Commis-
sioners, appointed in pursuance of a resolution of
the present Legislature, in the matter of Archibald
G. Ridgely.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That for the payment of the compen-
sation, allowed by the constitution of this State and
the laws thereof, to the members of the Senate and
House of Delegates, their officers and attendants, and
also, for the contingent expenses of the General Assem-
bly, in addition to the sums already appropriated for
