CHAP. 329.
In force.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this act of incorpo-
ration shall take effect from and after its passage, and
shall enure for thirty years thereafter, unless sooner re-
pealed by the Legislative, and shall be subject, to a re-
peal or to such alterations as the Legislature may from
time to time think proper to make.

Authority to
regulate tolls.
|
AN ACT relating to the Tolls to be charged by the
Baltimore and Ohio Rail Road Company, an. the
Washington Branch of said Road.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Baltimore and Ohio rail road company,
shall be authorised to regulate the tolls to be paid for the
transportation of passengers on the Washington branch
of the said road in their discretion, not exceeding the

Proviso.

maximum heretofore listed by law; Provided, that one-
fifth of the passage money received from said branch road
be accounted for and paid into the State treasury as
now required by law.

Preamble.

AN ACT to incorporate the Venezuelan Coast
Steam Company.
WHEREAS, application has been made to the Gene-
ral Assembly of Maryland, for an act to incorporate
the Venezuelan Coast Steam Company, and in the
judgment of the General Assembly, the object of said
corporation cannot be attained under general laws ;
Therefore,

Incorporated.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That William Peters, Joseph C. Man-
ning, Samuel R. Hough, Lewis Howell, Howard
Kennedy, M. N. Falls, and Zenos Barnum, and their
successors, that is to say: such persons as may become
stockholders, in pursuance of this act, be, and they are
hereby constituted a body corporate, by the name of
the Venezuelan Coast Steam Company, for the pur-
pose of purchasing, building, or otherwise procuring
