AN ACT for the Relief of John B. Hayden, late
Sheriff of Saint Mary's County.
|

Commission-
ers to levy.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners for Saint Mary's
County be, and they are hereby authorised and em-
powered, in their discretion, to levy on the assessable
properly of said county, such a sum of money, as to
them may seem just and proper, for the benefit of John
B. Hayden, late Sheriff of Saint Mary's county, for
expenses incurred by him, in electing and keeping a
private jail dining the period of his sheriffalty.

AN ACT authorising Louis Myer, an alien, now
residing in Talbot county, to hold Real Estate in
this State.
|
|
|
Empowered
to hold real
estate.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Louis Myer, a citizen of Germany, resid-
ing in Talbot county, of this State, be, and he is
hereby authorized and empowered to take, hold and
possess any real estate, to him, his heirs of assigns, to
as full extent, as if he, the said Louis Myer, was a citi-
zen of the United States of America.
