An ACT allowing a Pension to Sarah Holland,
widow of diaries Holland, as a Private in the
American Revolution, and appropriating a sum of
money for the payment thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Sarah Holland, of Anne Arundel
county, widow of Charles Holland, a private in the
American Revolution, be and she is hereby allowed a
pension, for and during her natural life, equal to the
half pay of a private, in consideration, of the services of
her said husband in the said war.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That a sum equal to
the half pay of a private, is hereby appropriated, and
the treasurer upon the warrant of the comptroller, is
hereby directed to pay the said sum of money to the
said Surah Holland, or to her order, annually, in quar-
terly payments during her life.

AN ACT to change the name of Mary Guy, of Saint
Mary's County, to Mary Morgan.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the name of Mary Guy, of Saint
Mary's county, be and the same is hereby changed to
Mary Morgan, and it shall be lawful for said Mary
Guy, at all times hereafter, to be called and known
by, and hold and use the name of Mary Morgan, and
by that name to have the right to purchase, sell, con-
