CHAPTER 34.

CHAP. 35.

AN ACT to regulate the time of holding the Circuit
Courts in the Eighth Judicial Circuit.

Passed Feb.
25, 1852.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That there shall be four terms of the
Circuit Courts in each year, in the several counties com-
posing the eighth Judicial Circuit.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the terms of the
Circuit Court of Somerset county, shall commence
on the first Tuesday in each of the months of January,
April, July and October; the terms of the said court
for Dorchester county, shall commence on the fourth
Tuesday in each of the months of January, April and
July, and on the third Tuesday in October; the
terms of the said court for Worcester county, shall com-
mence on the third Tuesday in each of the months of
February, May, August and November.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That to the spring and
full terms of the said courts in the several counties of the
said circuit, the Sheriffs of the several counties com-
posing the said circuit shall summon and return, ac-
cording to the requisitions of existing laws, a panel

of persons qualified according to law, to serve as Ju-
rors at the said terms.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the Judge of the
said courts shall have power and authority to pass nil
such rules as shall be necessary to facilitate the transac-
tion of business in the said courts; Provided, however,
that such rules shall provide for the transaction of equity
business, and the said court for equity business shall
be considered to be always open.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this act shall be in
force from the passage thereof.
