AN ACT to provide for the Rebuilding of the State's
Wharf on Frederick Street Dock, and the repair-
ing of numbers one, two and four, State Tobacco

Warehouses, in the city of Baltimore.

rebuilding
State's wharf.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Treasury
Department, be, and he is hereby authorised, empow-
ered and directed to contract for the rebuilding of the
Stale's wharf, beginning at the month of Frederick
street dock, and running up the dock in front of, and
to the end of Tobacco Warehouse, number two, in a
complete and substantial manner, the materials to be
used in its construction, to be of wood.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Comptroller
be authorised and he is hereby empowered to contract
for such repairs to the Spouting on Tobacco Ware-
houses, numbers one and two, as he, in his discretion,
may deem necessary, and that he be further authorised
to contract for the painting of the wood work on the
exterior of Tobacco Warehouse, number four.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the Treasurer be

credit of the Tobacco Fund, and not otherwise appro-
priated, such sum or sums of money, from time to
time, as may be necessary to carry into effect the provi-

sions of this act; Provided, the sum does not exceed
three thousand dollars, and that the Comptroller shall
advertise and receive proposals for the said work, and
shall contract with the lowest responsible bidder for the
same, and require good and sufficient security from the
contractor for the faithful, substantial and workmanlike
execution of the same.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
