CHAP. 225.
|
Comptroller of the Treasury shall issue his warrant to
the Treasurer to pay said John W. Woods and James
Wingate, for the said Maryland Chancery Decisions, at
the rate of five dollars for each and every volume pur-
chased.

priated.
|
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the sum of nine
hundred and fifty dollars is hereby appropriated from
the State Treasury, for the purchase of the first volume
of said Maryland Chancery Decisions, and the sum of
nine hundred and fifty dollars is hereby appropriated for
the purchase of the second volume of said Chancery De-
cisions, to be paid out of any unappropriated money in
the State Treasury.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from and after the date of its passage.

AN ACT regulating the Fees of Sheriffs of Alle-
gany county, for taking Prisoners from the County
Jail to the State's Prison.
|
|
|
|
Fee of sheriff.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That hereafter the sheriffs of Allegany
county, shall be entitled to receive the following amounts
for taking prisoners from the jail of said county to the
State's prison: when a single convict, is taken, the
sum of forty dollars shall be allowed; when two are
taken two are taken together, the sum of thirty dollars
each; when more than two are taken at the same time,
the sum of twenty-five dollars each, and no more.

Authority to
levy.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the county com-
missioners of Allegany county, be, and they are hereby
authorised and required to levy annually on the assessa-
ble property of said county, the said sums, when so re-
quired, to be collected as other county charges are col-
lected.

|
Inconsistent
acts repealed.
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all acts or parts
of acts inconsistent or repugnant to this act, be, and the
same are hereby repealed.

effect from and after its passage.
