are; that all chancery process shall be returnable, in
the respective counties, to the common law terms afore-
said, as well as to the regular chancery terms; and that
said courts, as Chancery Courts, shall be considered as
always open for the transaction of equity business.

CHAP. 215.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the trial terms of
said courts for the cases depending in the same, shall
be the terms next succeeding the terms to which the
original process may be returnable.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the provisions of
this act shall take effect from and after the day of the
passage thereof; Provided, however, that at the July
term, eighteen hundred and fifty-two, of the Circuit
Court for Washington county, no jury shall be sum-
moned, and no term shall be held, except for the re-
turn of process and the transaction of such business as
may, by consent, be submitted to the court; and this
act shall not interfere with the term of the Circuit
Court for Allegany county, now being held.

Proviso.

AN ACT to establish the terms of the Superior Court
and of the Court of Common Pleas of Baltimore
City, and, to make valid the terms of said courts
already held.

13, 1852.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That after the first day of June next, the
Superior Court of of Baltimore city, sitting for common
law business, and the court of Common Pleas of Balti-
more city, shall hold in each and every year, three
terms, to commence as follows, viz: the first term on
the second Monday of September; the second term on
the second Monday of January, and the third term on
the second Monday of May in each year.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the terms prescrib-
ed for Baltimore County Court, as a court of equity,

shall be, and the same are hereby declared to be and
continued as the terms of the Superior Court of Balti-
more city, sitting in equity.
