AN ACT to vest in the Superior Court of Balti-
more City, certain powers, in regard to Mortgages
of Real Estate, or chattels real, in the City of Bal-
timore.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That all the jurisdiction and powers
heretofore vested in the Chancellor of Baltimore
County Court, in relation to conveyances made by way
of mortgage of lands, or hereditaments, or chattels
real, situate in the city of Baltimore, in which convey-
ances, there has been, or shall be, contained an assent,
by the mortgagor or mortgagors, to the passage of a
decree at any time, after the filing of said conveyances,
to be recorded for the sale of the mortgaged premises,
be, and the same is hereby declared to be vested in the
Superior Court of Baltimore city.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That from and after the passage of this
act, the only legal mode of selling and disposing of
Potatoes and Apples in this State, shall be by the even
measure of the standard bushel and its fractions, or by
weight of fifty-six pounds to the bushel for potatoes,
and forty pounds to the bushel for apples.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act
shall be so construed, as to interfere with the present
mode of measuring and selling sweet potatoes.
