LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAP. 24.

county be, and they are hereby authorised to pay to the
register of wills of Baltimore county, such sum of
money, not exceeding three hundred dollars, as shall
appear to them, upon exhibit of a certificate, signed by
the judges of the Orphans' court of Baltimore county,
to have been actually laid out and expended by the
said register of wills, for the supply to his office of
proper books of record, for the safe preservation of
copies of all the original papers now required by law
to be recorded in said office, and the said commissioners
are hereby authorised to levy for said amount.

In force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall have
effect from and after the day of its passage.

CHAPTER 23.

AN ACT to alter and change the name, of John
Sands Fell Stoddard to John Sands Fell.

Name chang-
ed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That the name, of John Sands Fell
Stoddard, a native of the State of Maryland, and now
resident therein, be, and the same is hereby altered and
changed to John Sands Fell, and it shall be lawful for
the said John Sands Fell, at all times hereafter, to be
called and known by and hold and use the name of
John Sands Fell, and by the name of John Sands
Fell, to purchase, sell, convey or devise, to sue and be
sued, in any court of law and equity.

In force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from its passage.

CHAPTER 24.

Passed Feb.
13, 1852.

AN ACT to lay out and establish a new Election
District in Somerset county, to be called District
Number Eleven, or Potatoe Neck District.
