ter shall record that such notice hath been given; and
this act shall take effect and be in force from the time of

its passage.

CHAPTER 21.

CHAP. 22.

In force.

AN ACT appropriating a sum of money therein
named to pay the Members, officers and Contin-
gent Expenses of the present General Assembly.

29, 1852.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That the sum of fifty thousand dollars
be, and the same is hereby appropriated, out of any
unappropriated money in the Treasury, for the pay-
ment of the members, officers, and contingent expenses

of the present General Assembly.

Sum appro-
priated.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Treasurer is
hereby authorised to pay to the said members and offi-
cers, the sums now due, or which may become due,
for which they shall receive certificates from the chair-
man of the committee of Claims, or in case of his
absence, from the next named on said committee, and
so on, of the present House of Delegates; and he is
authorised in like manner to pay, on account of the
contingent expenses of this General Assembly, any
sums, for which certificates shall be given as aforesaid
by the chairman or next named member of the com-
mittee of Claims.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the time of its passage.

CHAPTER 22.

In force.

AN ACT to authorise the Commissioners of Balti-
more county to pay such sum as shall be necessary
to supply the office of the Register of Wills of
Baltimore county with the Record Books, and to
levy therefor.
