SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the stock of the
sold company shall be deemed personal estate, that all
the property, estate and joint stock of the corporation
shall be bound and answerable for its debts or liabili-
ties.

CHAPTER 163.

Reservation.

AN ACT to made valid the acknowledgment of a
Deed from Christian Newcomer and others, to
Christian Myers.

Passed May
17, 1852.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That from and after the passage of this
act, the acknowledgment of the deed from Christian
Newcomer, Mary Newcomer, Abraham Newcomer,
Molly Newcomer, Henry Newcomer, Nancy Newcomer,
Michael Shoemaker, Molly Shoemaker, Jacob Lesher,
Nancy Lesher, Peter Newcomer and Mary Newcomer,
to Christian Myers, of Washington county, Mary-
land, bearing date the twentieth day of March, eigh-
teen hundred and fifty-two, which said acknowledg-
ment was taken in the State of Ohio, before two jus-
tices of the peace of that State, instead of before a
judge of a court of record, be, and the same is hereby
ratified and made valid, as much so as if said acknow-
ledgment had been made in conformity to the laws
regulating acknowledgments of deeds made out of the
State of Mary land, and where the land lies therein.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all title or titles
claimed under, or by virtue of said deed, be, and it, or
they, are hereby made valid, as if said acknowledgment
had been made in conformity to the laws aforesaid ;

Provided, that nothing herein contained shall affect
any rights of creditors or purchasers, without actual no-
tice, nor shall any thing herein affect any suit or con-
troversy now pending in any of the courts of this
State.
