CHAPTER 14.

17, 1852.

AN ACT entitled, an Act for the Relief of Eliza
Miller, widow of Adam Miller, late Messenger to
the Governor.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, A balance of twenty-one dollars and
twenty-five cents, was due to Adam Miller, at the time

of his death, for his services as Messenger to the Gov-
ernor; And whereas, in consequence of there being
no administrator on his estate, no person is legally
authorised to receive the same; Therefore,

Treasurer
authorised to
pay.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That the Treasurer is hereby authorised
and required to pay the said balance out of any unap-
propriated money in the Treasury, to Eliza Miller,
widow of the said Adam Miller.

In force.

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall be in force
from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 15.

2, 1852.

AN ACT to make valid a certain Deed from George

Howard and Prudence Howard, his wife, to a cer-
tain Priscilla White, in trust for the purposes
therein mentioned.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, A certain George Howard and Prudence
Howard, his wife, being then residents of Howard Dis-
trict of Anne Arundel county, by deed bearing date on
the eleventh day of February, eighteen hundred and
forty-five, duly executed and recorded among the Land
Records of said District, in Liber I. L. M., No. 6, folio
431, &c., but acknowledged before two justices of the
peace of the State of Maryland, in and for the city of
Baltimore, and not before two justices of the peace for
the said District, did grant, bargain, sell and convey
certain lands, particularly described in said deed, lying
in said District, to a certain Priscilla White, in trust for
the purposes therein mentioned; And whereas, doubts
have arisen as to the validity of said deed by reason of
said acknowledgment; Therefore,

Deed made
valid.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That the said deed shall have the same
