CHAPTER 117.

1811.

An act for the relief of James Dixon, of Calvert
county.

Passed Dec. 27,
1811.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the judges of Calvert county court,
or any one of them, in the recess of the said court, be,
and they, or any one of them as aforesaid, are hereby
authorised to extend to James Dixon, of Calvert
county, the full benefit of the act of assembly passed
at November session eighteen hundred and tive, en-
titled, " An act for the relief of sundry insolvent
debtors, " and the several supplements thereto, with-
out requiring the said James Dixon to obtain the con-
sent of two thirds of his creditors, in amount, upon
the said James Dixon complying in other respects
with the said act and supplements.

CHAPTER US.

Benefits of in-
solvent laws
may be granted
on ins comply-
ing with certain
provisions of
said laws,

An act for the relief of Charles Farrow, of Som-
erset county.

Passed Dec, 27,
1811.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the judges, or any one judge of Som-
erset county court be, and they are hereby directed to
extend to Charles Farrow, of Somerset county, the
benefit of an act of assembly passed at November ses-
sion eighteen hundred and five, entitled, " An act for
the relief of sundry insolvent debtors, " and the seve-
ral supplements thereto, without compelling the said
Charles Farrow to produce the assent of two thirds,
in amount, of his creditors, as is required by the said
act, and the several supplements thereto.

An act to change the name of Georgetown Cross-
Roads, in Kent county.

Passed Dec. 27,
1811.

WHEREAS, Considerable inconvenience has re-
sulted to the good people of Georgetown Cross -
Roads, in Kent county, from the frequent changes its
name has undergone, and from its similarity to the
names of other post-towns in the United States: —
Therefore,

Preamble.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the name of George-town -'Cross-
