CHAPTER 98.

1811.

An act f or the relief of Littleton Dennis Teackle,
of Somerset county.

Passed Dec. 27,
1811.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That it shall and may be lawful tor Som-
erset county court, or any one of the judges thereof,
during the recess of the said court, to extend to the
said Littleton Dennis Teackle, all the benefits, advan-
tages and provisions of the act passed November ses-
sion eighteen hundred and five, entitled, " An act for
the relief of sundry insolvent debtors, " and its several
supplements, without being required to produce to
the said court, "or to the said judge in the recess of the
said court, the assent, in writing, of so many of his
creditors as have due to them, in amount, two thirds
of the debts owing by the said Littleton Dennis Teack-
le, or without being required to produce proof to the
said court, or judge, (as the case may be, ) that the
said Littleton Dennis Teackle has • given the notice
required by the said act, and the several supplements
thereto.

CHAPTER 99.

 

An act for the relief of Henry Schroeder, of the
city ef Baltimore.

Passed Dec. 27,
1811.

WHEREAS, It appears that John Hammond, late
of Baltimore county, deceased, became possessed of
about forty-two acres of land, part of a tract called
Welsh's Adventure, lying in Baltimore county
aforesaid, on which was reserved an annual rent of
one guinea per acre, payable to William Russell and
Frances his wife, and their heirs; and that the said
John Hammond, in his life time, sold or underleased
to Henry Schroeder, of the city of Baltimore, twenty-
eight acres and seventeen perches of the said land, as
appears by five assignments thereof from said Ham-
mond to said Schroeder, reserving the same rent of
one guinea per acre, payable to himself and his
assigns, instead of making the same payable to the
said William Russell and wife, and their heir; And
whereas, The said William Russell and wile are both
dead, and by a decree of the honorable the chancellor
of Maryland, bearing date on the nineteenth day of
October, in the year eighteen hundred and nine, all
that part of the real estate of said Russell and wife,
which had been leased and assigned to John Ham-
