No. 17.
Resolved, That the legislature, in respect to the
memory of the late Major Stephen Miers, deceased,
a delegate from Queen Anne's county, who departed
this life while attending to the discharge of his legisla-
tive duties, wear scarfs and bands during the remain-
der of the session; and that the funeral expenses be
placed on the journal of accounts,

No. 18.
Resolved, That all proceedings against Sutton Isaac
Weems and his securities, on a judgment obtained
against them on account of a balance due to the state
by the said Sutton Isaac Weems as sheriff of Calvert
county, be, and are hereby suspended until the first
day of January, eighteen hundred and thirteen; and
also that the said Sutton Isaac Weems and his securi-
ties, be, and they are hereby released from the pay-
ment of the nine per cent per annum, of the fifteen
per cent interest chargeable on the principal of the ba-
lance due the state, on condition only that the said
Sutton Isaac Weems and his securities shall punctu-
ally pay to the treasurer of the Western Shore on or
before the first day of January, eighteen hundred and
thirteen; the principal of the balance due the state,
with interest on the same, at the rate of six per cent
per annum, together with all costs on said judgment;
Provided, That the judgment aforesaid shall continue
and be in full force notwithstanding the suspension
directed by this resolution; and that if the said Sutton
Isaac Weems and his securities shall fail in the said
payment, they shall thereby forfeit the benefit of this
resolution, and shall be liable to be proceeded against
immediately for the whole of the said debt and costs,
and the fifteen per cent interest now payable thereon.

Resolved, That the treasurer of the Western Shore
pay out of any unappropriated money in the treasury,
into the court of chancery, the sum of ninety one
pounds ten shillings, current money, to be applied by
the said court in pursuance of the decree rendered in
that court, in the case of Thomas E. Bond and Wil-
liam Robertson against the attorney general
