CHAPTER 131.

Passed Dec 27,
1811.

A further supplement to the act entitled., An act
relating to the public roads in the several coun-
ties therein mentioned.

Certain parts
of the 11th sec-
tion of the ori-
ginal act repeal-
ed.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That all and so much of the eleventh sec-
tion of the original act to which this is a further addi-
tional supplement, as makes it the duty of the over-
seers of the roads to pay the amount of all fines and
forfeitures received by them, to the justices of the
levy court, so far as the said section relates to, and
operates upon the inhabitants of Dorchester county,,
be, and arc hereby repealed, any law to the contrary
notwithstanding.

Overseers shall
apply money
received in im-
proving certain
roads.

AND BE IT ENACTED, That it shall be the
duty of the said overseers to apply all the money re-
ceived by them in virtue of the original act to which
this is a further additional supplement, in clearing,
amending, improving and repairing the several and
respective roads aforesaid.

Overseers shall
render an annu-
al account of
fines and forfei-
tures received,
to justices of
the levy court,
on oath.

AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said over-
seers shall once every year render an account of all
fines and forfeitures received by them in virtue of the
original act to which this is a further additional sup-
plement, stating the full amount received, and how
applied in amending and repairing the several and res-
pective roads aforesaid, to the justices of the levy
court, upon oath or affirmation,

CHAPTER 139.

A further Supplement 1o the act entitled, An act
authorising the drawing of a Lottery for the
benefit of the College of Medicine, of Mary-
land.

Regents of the
college author-
ised to appoint
commissioners,
who shall act as
managers under
a certain provi-
sion.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the regents of the college of Medi-
cine, of Maryland, may appoint such number of com-
missioners or managers, not less than seven, as they
may think proper, in lieu of the commissioners named
in the act to which this is a supplement, who shall per-
form the duties required by the commissioners in the
said act named; Provided, That the commissioners
so to be appointed, before they proceed to act, shall
execute a bond to the state of Maryland, in the penal
