Resolution to have two Spoontoons now in the
Armory of the State, to be placed in the Lyceum,
at the Naval School.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That His Excellency the Governor, be and he is here-
by authorised and requested to permit two spontoons
now in the Armory of the State, to be placed in the
Lyceum at the Naval School, in this city; provided,
the chief officer of said school shall receipt for the.
same, and hold them at all times subject to the order of
the Executive of this State.

Resolutions of thanks to Lieutenant Alexander H. Cross,
Robert Swan, Robert H. Archer and William H.
Fitzhugh, of the Regiment of Voltigeurs, United
States Army, natives of Maryland.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the thanks of this State are due, and are hereby
tendered to Lieutenant Alexander H. Cross, Robert
Swan, Robert H. Archer and William H. Fitzhugh,
of the Regiment of Voltigeurs, United States Army,
natives of Maryland, for their intrepid and gallant con-
duct in all the battles of the Valley of Mexico, fought
by the American Army, under Major General Winfield
Scott.
Resolved, That the Governor be requested to for-
ward to each of the above named officers a copy of these
resolutions.
