Resolution in favor of George W. West.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Treasurer be and he is hereby directed to pay
to George W. West, of Frederick county, or his order,
ten dollars, being the amount of stamp duty paid by
him on the twenty-sixth day of February, eighteen
hundred and forty nine, to the clerk of Frederick coun-
ty court, to give validity loan appeal bond.

Resolutions in favor of Major John R. Kenly.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the thanks of his native State are hereby tendered
to Major John R. Kenly, late of Maryland and District
of Columbia Volunteers, attached to the United States
Army, for distinguished gallantry displayed in the field
during the recent war with Mexico.
Resolved, That His Excellency the Governor, be re-
quested to transmit to Major Kenly, a copy of the fore-
going resolution, duly authenticated.

Resolutions in favor of Lieutenant Isaac S. Sterritt,
United States Navy.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the thanks of this body are justly due to Isaac S.
Sterritt, a citizen of Maryland and a Lieutenant in the
Navy of the United States, for his gallantry and 'good
conduct during the war with Mexico.
Resolved, That His Excellency the Governor, be
revested to transmit to Lieutenant Isaac S. Sterritt, a
copy of this resolution, duly authenticated.
