PHILIP P. THOMAS, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

1849.

State, to distribute the military bounty lauds therein,
westward of Fort Cumberland, and recorded among
the land records of Allegany county, in liber A B, num-
ber 0, folio two hundred and twenty, shall be so con-
strued and is hereby declared to have vested at the time
of its issue, an estate of fee simple in John J. Jacob,
since deceased, his heirs and assigns, of, in and to the
tots of land therein mentioned, being lots numbered
three thousand six hundred and fifteen, three thousand
six hundred and sixteen, three thousand six hundred
and seventeen, and three thousand six hundred and
eighteen.

CHAP. 84.




SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the deed from John
W. Vandiver, as trustee, appointed by Allegany county
court, as a court of equity, to sell the real estate of said
John J. Jacobs, deceased, to Henry Johnson, of Alle-
gany county, be and the same is hereby confirmed and
declared valid and effectual to all intents and purpo-
ses whatsoever, to vest an estate in fee simple in said
lots of land in said Henry Johnson, his heirs and as-
signs.

CHAPTER 84.

Declared valid.

An act to Incorporate the Proprietors of the Sylvan
Cemetery of Weaverton.

Passed
Feb. 13, 1850.

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assem-
bly, that the establishment of a, public cemetery at Wea-
verton is desirable, and that Casper W. Weaver is wil-
ling to dispose of a portion of his lands, on reasonable
terms for that purpose; provided, an act of incorpora-
tion be granted, so that said cemetery may be forever
protected; and whereas, it is right and proper that such
establishments should be made permanent, in order that
those who bury in them may be assured of perpetual
protection to the remains of their relatives and friends
— Therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Casper W. Weaver, Jacob Rine-
heart, William Laughridge, Henry Bell and Adam
Weaver, and their successors, be and are hereby created
a body politic and corporate, by the name and style of
the Proprietors of the Sylvan Cemetery of Weaverton,
and by that name shall have perpetual succession, and
