feedings are not in violation of any of the laws of
this State.

CHAP. 510.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all vacancies which
may occur in the members of said society, by death,
resignation, or refusal to act, or removal from the said
county, shall be filled by the remaining members, and
they increase their number, by election, to twelve, but
the whole number shall never exceed twelve, all of
whom shall be residents of said county, and engaged
in practical agriculture, five of its members being
present, the residue having been notified, and failing
to attend, shall be a quorum for the transaction or
business, and all questions shall be decided by a ma-
jority of the votes present, except the election of new
members, which shall require the entire vote of those
present.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That it shall not be law-
ful for said association to issue any note or other paper
in the nature of a bank note, to circulate as currency,
and it shall at all times he lawful for the General As-
sembly of this State to repeal or modify this act.

CHAPTER 510.

Banking forbid.

An act to revive an act entitled, an act to incorporate a
Company to make a Turnpike Road from the Town
of Westminster, in Frederick county, through Har-
man's Gap, to Hagerstown, in Washington county.

Passed March
3, 1850.

SECTION. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That an act passed at November Ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and nine, entitled, an act to
incorporate a company to make a turnpike road from
the town of Westminster in Frederick county, through
Harman's Gap, to Hagerstown, in Washington county,
together with the several supplements thereto, be and
they are hereby revived and continued in force, and all
the rights, powers and privileges given, granted or
conferred by the same, be and they are hereby re-
newed and revived in their force and original extent.

Revived.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the further term
of ten years, from and after the passage of this act, be
and the same is hereby granted and extended to the
president, managers and company of the Hagerstown
Turnpike Road Company, to complete the road from
