LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAP. 474.

of the town of Easton, the record of surveys made by
the said John Needles, and place it among the land re-
cord books of said county.

Made valid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said book shall
be considered as of the same authority and validity as
other land record books, and that the clerk of Talbot
county, be and he is hereby authorised and required to
furnish authenticated copies and extracts from said re-
cord book, and shall be entitled to receive the same com-
pensation that is allowed for similar copies and extracts
from other land records of said county.

To be evidence.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That said au-
thenticated copies and extracts shall be of the same evi-
dence and authority, in the several courts of law and
equity, as similar copies and extracts of other land re-

cords; provided, that nothing herein contained shall be
construed to alter or affect any suits now pending, or
affect the titles and possession of property in the hands
of its present owners.

Compensation.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the clerk
of said county, shall receive such compensation for
transcribing the book aforesaid, as the said commission-
ers of the town shall deem just and proper, and that the
said commissioners of the town, be required to pay the
amount to said clerk.

CHAPTER 474.

1850.

An act to allow Lemuel Clements, Trustee of Henry
Lilly, deceased, late Sheriff and Collector of Mont-
gomery County, and Reuben Summers, Trustee of
R. R. Waters, late Sheriff and Collector of Mont-
gomery County, further time to complete their col-
lections.

May collect.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, Lemuel
Clements, trustee of Henry Lilly, deceased, late sheriff
and collector of Montgomery county, or any trustee that
may be appointed hereafter, and Reuben Summers,
trustee of R. R. Waters, late sheriff and collector of
Montgomery county, be and they are hereby empower-
ed to collect all all fees, taxes and levies, in the same
manner in which the said Henry Lilly and Richard R.
Waters, were authorised to do whilst they were in office;
